Chair– Angela Ferrante
Angela has a diverse background in the public and private sectors. Most recently, she was the Chief Operating Officer of The Ontario Energy Board, where she was ultimately responsible for all departments in the organization. Her experience in the public and private sector includes senior positions at BMO Financial Group, Ontario Power Generation, and C.D. Howe Institute, one of Canada's leading economic policy institutes. Angela started her career as a journalist working at The Montreal Star, The Montreal Gazette, and Maclean’s news magazine.
An active member of the community with over 25 years of experience on not-for-profit Boards, Angela is currently a Member of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, a Member of the Canadian Foundation for Governance Research, and a Member of the Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments. With her extensive experience in the governance of Crown Corporations, she also serves on the Boards of Via Rail Canada and the Independent Electricity System Operator.

Member – Dr. Dennis Magill
Dennis William Magill is Professor Emeritus, Department of Sociology, University of Toronto. He was the Director of University College’s undergraduate health studies program. In recent years he has served on the board of directors of many organizations: Wellesley Central Hospital; Sherbourne Health Centre; Rekai Centre for Long Term Care; Homewood Housing Co-op; and Toronto Historical Board. His present board commitments include Wellesley Institute; Wellesley Central Residents Inc.; Centre for Urban Health Initiatives, University of Toronto; and Community Campus Partnerships for Health, Washington University (Seattle).

Member - Lloyd Komori
Lloyd Komori is the Managing Director of Global Risk Institute in Financial Services (GRIFS). Lloyd leads the education file for the GRI and is responsible for establishing the leading risk management oversight and governance practices for board directors and executive leaders in the financial services industry. In addition to creating these standards of practice, he works closely with industry and trade associations, academic institutions and other third party providers who may provide content to meet professional development and education needs of these two major constituencies.
Lloyd has extensive experience and expertise in risk management based on a 20-year career spanning financial services and energy industries during which he has been investment banker, derivatives trader and Chief Risk Officer of Canada’s largest integrated power utility. His in-the-field developed expertise is complimented by his 10 years as a global risk management consultant working extensively with the large and complex financial institutions and multinational companies around the world.
Over the past nine years, Lloyd has also worked to enhance corporate governance practices as a founding faculty member of Canada’s only university accredited board director certification program. He holds the Chartered Director and Audit Committee certifications, is a member of National Association of Corporate Directors and has recently received governmental reappointment to the board of directors of the Toronto Central LHIN.
He has been an active member and contributor to several global industry associations that focus on risk management and governance and continues to expand his knowledge and expertise in a number of related fields.

Member - Anju Virmani (Kumar)
Ms Anju Virmani (Kumar) has been an adviser and consultant in information technology (IT) for more than 20 years in Canada and USA. She is currently Chief Information Officer for Cargojet Income Fund. Prior to this she was the founder and CEO of Bizness Matters Inc., based in California. She was also the founder and CEO of The SAPlementation Group, an SAP consulting company.
Virmani serves on the Advisory Council for National Security, a body that advises the Prime Minister on all issues related to National Security. She is also a member of the Cross Cultural Roundtable on Security.
Among other community involvements, Virmani serves on the board of TiE, The Indus Entrepreneurs, a global, non-profit organization that nurtures entrepreneurship through networking, mentoring and knowledge sharing. She has served on the Trade Committee of the Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the board of Panorama India. Virmani holds a B.Sc and a B.Ed from the University of Delhi, India and an MBA from Baruch College, City University of New York. She has a keen interest in corporate governance and holds the designation of Charter Director, McMaster University.

Member - Stephanie Coyles
Stephanie Coyles is a member of the Executive Committee at LoyaltyOne (formerly Alliance Data Loyalty Services) that works with more than 100 of North America’s leading brands in the retail, financial services, grocery, petroleum retail, travel and hospitality industries to profitably change customer behavior. Stephanie is responsible for enterprise development strategy (including M&A), product innovation, corporate branding and knowledge development and dissemination.
Stephanie was previously a senior principal with McKinsey & Company. In nearly two decades with the firm's Canadian consulting group, she tackled strategic challenges and helped boost bottom-line results for a wide array of North American retail (grocery and soft goods), financial services, telecom and consumer packaged goods companies. Her other achievements include establishing McKinsey's Canadian health care practice and publishing ground-breaking research on consumer loyalty.
Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree-Honors from Queens University and a Masters in Public Policy from Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Member - Richard Blickstead
Rick has experience in North American organizations specializing in (a) revitalization and change (b) strategic leadership and governance (c) relationship management, and (d) operational execution. He has a diverse background in healthcare, population health, and consumer-centric organizations.
Rick is CEO of Wellesley Institute, an applied research and public policy population health institute, and an Adjunct Professor at UofT. Prior to the Wellesley, he held senior executive positions at RONA, Holt Renfrew, Dylex Inc., Wal-Mart USA and Canada, and Peoples Jewellers. Rick is also a Director of several private and public sector organizations including the Toronto Board of Trade, Canadian Centre for Diversity, Imperial Manufacturing Group and Young/World Presidents Organization amongst others.
Rick completed the Not- for- Profit program at Harvard’s Business and Kennedy Schools and has an MBA (Toronto) and B.Commerce (Carleton).

Member - Kathleen Gallagher-Ross
Throughout a 25 + year career, Dr. Gallagher-Ross has built on strong community experience and academic qualifications and gained recognition at the provincial and national level as a strategic health policy adviser and educator. From 1996-2004, Kathy worked for the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and the Ministry of Children and Youth Services for the provincial implementation of Healthy Babies Healthy Children. She recently retired from United Way Toronto where she was Director of Public Policy, focussed on public policy related to improving quality of life, learning, and health for children and families and building strong neighbourhoods in Toronto.
Kathy brings significant accomplishment in building partnerships, setting shared public policy goals and reaching desired outcomes in communities. She is experienced at and committed to volunteer and community shared governance and has held numerous volunteer positions including, from 2004-2011, being the Chair of the Toronto Public Library Board for two terms, Vice-Chair for one term and a member at large for three and a half years.
Kathy is the author of A Parent's Guide to Choosing Day Care: Finding the Best Alternative for your Child and Co-author/Editor of Good Day Care: Fighting for It, Getting It, Keeping It.
She is the mother of three grown children and lives with her partner of 39 years.

Member - Carol Perry
Carol Perry brings an expertise in finance and a broad perspective on governance. She has served on the board of directors of publicly traded companies, not-for-profit entities and Crown agencies. She is a former Commissioner of the Ontario Securities Commission and currently serves on the board of Atomic Energy of Canada Limited. Other board positions have included serving as the Board Chair of St. Joseph’s Health Centre and as a director of DALSA Corporation and the Independent Electricity Market Operator.
During her 20+ year career in the investment industry she held senior positions with leading financial services firms including RBC Capital Markets, Richardson Greenshields and CIBC World Markets, and later established her own boutique financial advisory firm, MaxxCap Corporate Finance.
Carol has a bachelor of electrical engineering from the University of Western Ontario, a master of business administration from the University of Toronto and holds the professional designation ICD.D from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Member - John Fraser
John recently spent 4 ½ years as President, CEO and director of Avensys Inc., a leading manufacturer and distributor of fiber optic components and integrator of instrumentation and turn-key systems for environmental monitoring. He also has experience as a director of several publicly held, high tech, manufacturing and service companies.
John has been a director of several non-profit organizations, including The Learning Partnership, and The Hincks Dellcrest Centre, where he was Chair of the Board from 2003 to 2005.
From 1976 to 1998 John was a partner with KPMG Canada, and Vice Chairman of the firm (1994-1998). John had national responsibility for Management Consulting, providing a full range of management consulting services, strategy, reengineering, human resources and information technology.
He is bilingual - English and French
John completed the Institute of Corporate Directors course at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto and attained the professional designation ICD.D (2006).
John has a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration (Economics), from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand (1965); and a Master of Business Administration, from the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (1971).
